Illustration of a small green dragon in a cosy blanket fort lit by lanterns
Ember's Big Night
Ember was a small green dragon with a very big secret. He was scared of the dark. So Maya helped him build a fort of blankets and lanterns, right in the middle of his cosy cave.

How it works

From their imagination to a finished storybook

Simple enough for small hands. Every story is written fresh, just for them.

Step one

They ask

Your child types or says any idea at all, or picks one of the day's suggestions.

Hey Maya! ⭐
Go
Step two

Cosmo gets to work

In moments, a brand-new story is written, illustrated and narrated, tuned to their age and interests.

Writing the story…
Painting the pictures…
Warming up the narrator…
Step three

They read along

A warm voice reads aloud while each sentence glows gold, so listening quietly becomes reading.

“Tonight,” whispered Ember, “I will be brave.” One by one, the lanterns glowed like little golden stars.

The magic

Words light up as they're read

WanderKid's read-along highlighting lets your child follow every sentence with their eyes and their ears. Listening quietly turns into reading confidently.

The Dragon Who Was Scared of the Dark
Ember was a small green dragon with a very big secret. He was scared of the dark. So Maya helped him build a fort of blankets and lanterns, right in the middle of his cosy cave. “Tonight,” whispered Ember, “I will be brave.” One by one, the lanterns glowed like little golden stars. And somewhere in the soft warm light, Ember began to smile.

Questions

Everything parents ask us

What ages is WanderKid for?

WanderKid is designed for children aged 3 to 10. You set your child's age during setup, and every story adapts its vocabulary, themes, humour and pacing to suit them. A story for a three-year-old and a story for a nine-year-old are very different things, and WanderKid knows it.

How personalised are the stories, really?

Very. Stories can star your child by name, weave in their interests (dinosaurs, diggers, dolphins, whatever this month's obsession is), match their age and favourite genres, and respect any topics you'd rather keep out. Every story is written fresh at the moment they ask for it.

Is it safe? The stories are generated, aren't they?

Safety is the foundation of WanderKid, not a feature. Every story is created under strict rules that keep content gentle, positive and age-appropriate, with no scary, violent or unsuitable themes, ever. You can set off-limits topics that every story respects. There are no ads, no tracking, no chat and no links out. And we encourage parents to enjoy stories together with younger children.

Which languages does it speak?

Eleven: English (UK and US), Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Romanian, Italian, Dutch and Polish. Stories are written and narrated natively in each language, which makes WanderKid a lovely companion for bilingual families and for keeping a heritage language alive.

How much will it cost?

WanderKid will be free to try, with a subscription for families who want more stories, more voices and more illustrations. Full pricing will be announced in the app at launch, and you'll always be able to cancel anytime through the App Store.

When can we get it?

WanderKid is in the final stretch before its App Store launch, coming first to iPhone and iPad, with Android planned. Leave your email above and we'll write the moment it's ready. We promise it'll be worth the wait.
